Interwork is governed by a Board of Directors which consists of six elected members, five of whom are non-executive and independent of the organisation. The CEO is an executive director.
Our directors volunteer their services and wide-ranging professional expertise to provide strategic leadership, cultural direction and policies in accordance with Interwork's constitution.
The Interwork Board members are commercially astute and contribute considerable specialised expertise for the development of policy and strategy and sound corporate governance.
The Board ensures the organisation operates with the efficiencies of a traditional for profit business to ensure access and equity for clients and service excellence for contracting organisations and all stakeholders.

Mark is Business Development Manager at Paper Tiger, an office supplies business he established in 2005. He previously developed a national call centre for Mobile Upgrade Centre, and has held a number of senior marketing and sales roles with HomeStart Finance, Galaxy TV, I.C.I Dulux, Alcan Aluminium and Telstra.

Mr Michael Sidney Hegarty

Michael is a Principal Solicitor at Hegarty and Associates which he established in 1996. He is a member of the South Australia Law Society and his career has included appointments with the Australian Customs Service and Trade Practices Commission. He has written for a number of business and legal publications and has significant community involvement. Michael was appointed Company Secretary on October 9, 2003.

Mrs Rosemary Joy Wallage

Rosemary was head of Corporate Human Resources at Sheridan Australia and Bruck Textiles prior to joining Interwork in 2003. Her experience spans the finance, retailing, manufacturing and consulting sectors with roles at John Martin, Hindmarsh Building Society and Adelaide Bank where at various times she managed both Human Resources and Product Sales. Past Directorships include Director of Ostara Australia and ACE National. Rosemary is an Associate Fellow of the Australia Human Resources Institute and her community affiliations include amongst others, board roles on Business SA, SSABSA and WorkCover.

Ms Kay Nicholas

Kay has over 17 years management experience in disability related employment and worker’s compensation fields. Until September 2006, Kay was General Manager, Public Affairs at WorkCover Corporation responsible for communication, marketing, government and stakeholder relations.

John is a Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor specialising in management consulting, due diligence and business valuation. He was formerly Managing Director of Dembicon Pty Ltd and Norman’s Wines Ltd and Partner in Charge at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in South Australia. John’s community involvement is extensive and includes positions on the boards of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Australia Red Cross Independent Living Centre.

Wayne is also on the Board of CARA (Community Accommodation and Respite Agency Inc), Abilympics and Sailability SA.
