Corporate Governance

A not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to the principles of corporate governance in terms of responsibility, self-regulation, management of funds and commitment to best practice including corporate social responsibility.

As a Provider of Australian Government Employment Services (PAGES), Interwork ensures compliance with program contracts and the Australian Government Contract Management Framework.

Interwork is also quality accredited to the Disability Service Standards by JAS-ANZ and certified by BSI Management Systems.

Corporate Governance arrangements include, Strategic and Business plans that are living documents, policies and procedures across all practices and Financial and Key Performance Management systems. Annual financial accounts are audited by Moore Stephens.

Corporate Social Responsibility

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development defines corporate social responsibility as:
"the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce, their families and the local community and society at large (www.corporate-responsibility.com.au). "

Interwork works to a corporate social responsibility model to ensure operations and engagement with all stakeholders including Interwork staff is ethical and in accordance with our stated mission and visions and values.

A recent client survey revealed the overall client satisfaction with Interwork services as 85 percent. Our goal is to continuously improve on these levels in client services.

Board of Directors

Interwork is governed by a Board of Directors which consists of 5 elected members, 3 of whom are non-executive and volunteer their services and wide-ranging professional expertise. Members are independent of the organisation and provide strategic leadership, cultural direction and policies in accordance with Interwork’s constitution.

The Interwork Board and senior management are commercially astute and manage service provision with the efficiencies of a traditional for profit business to ensure access and equity for clients and high returns to contracting organisations and all stakeholders.


The Board is responsible for providing the strategic direction for the organisation, accepting budgets and monitoring the organisation’s progress and achievement of objectives.

 
The CEO is responsible for the operational outcomes as outlined in the company's strategies and reports directly to the Board on a monthly basis.

Board Committees

Board committees include the Audit, Strategic Planning and Remuneration Committees.   

Strategic Leadership Team

The Strategic Leadership Team is responsible for the operational management to ensure achievement of the vision, mission, strategic plan and operational implementation of board-directed policies.
